I recently received my second 30-day update
from my agent detailing the progress made on
selling my book to a major publishing house.
Of eleven (11) recipients, only one had
"Passed" on the offer by the time the first
progress report came out (Passed means that
the publisher has decided not to pursue this
book at this time). This progress report
(Report #2), four have passed leaving me
with seven (7) possible publishing
companies. While seven (7) is a good number,
it does hurt my confidence a good bit. You
would think that the book would be so good
that companies would snatch it up in a
heartbeat. Of course, it is a limited genre.
Gay books are not exactly mainstream
material and so have limited earning
potential. Despite the unpromising progress
report, book sales here on my website have
picked up and are surprisingly promising.
Keep buying, boys; and thank you.
